Job Summary:
As a Product Manager for internal product development, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to implementation. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into product requirements. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and operations, to deliver high- quality products on time and within budget.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and communicate a clear product vision, strategy, and roadmap for internal products, aligning them with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including business leaders, users, and subject matter experts, to understand their needs and gather detailed product requirements.
- Evaluate and prioritize product features based on business value, technical feasibility, and user feedback, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively.
- Work closely with engineering and design teams to translate requirements into technical specifications, user stories, and prototypes, ensuring that products are developed according to specifications and delivered on time.
- Define and track key product metrics to measure performance and user satisfaction, identifying and addressing any issues or bugs that arise during development and deployment.
- Collaborate with operations teams to plan and execute product deployment, ensuring that products are smoothly integrated into existing systems and processes.
- Drive user adoption of internal products through effective communication, training, and support, ensuring that users understand the value and benefits of the products.
- Monitor market trends and competitor products, gather user feedback, and conduct usability studies to identify opportunities for product enhancements and new features.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, sales, and support, to ensure alignment and collaboration throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, including providing regular updates on product development progress, soliciting feedback, and managing expectations.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to product development, deployment, and adoption, ensuring that potential issues are addressed proactively.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field. 10+ years of experience in product management, preferably in internal product development.
- Strong technical background, with proficiency in Python, SQL, VB, HTML, and other relevant technologies.
- Experience with AI and ML technologies, including knowledge of common algorithms and frameworks.
- Experience working on HR products will be preferred. PMP, Agile certification desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Experience working in an Agile development environment.
